Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

The angels announced peace to shepherds working the night shift, ordinary men in an occupied land. The peace of Christmas is first peace with God, and from it flows peace in our homes and with our neighbors.
Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth" (John 14:27). In a noisy, divided year, that peace is worth slowing down for.
Prayer
Prince of Peace, quiet our hearts and make us peacemakers in our families and communities. Amen.
