Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-21
Faithful Herald respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the website and Android app.
What we collect
- Basic visit data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. We keep an anonymous visit counter and do not build profiles of readers.
- Optional account. If you create a passkey account to comment, debate or save stories, we store your display name, your comments and your saved items. Passkeys stay on your device; we never receive your password or biometrics.
- Messages you send us, such as feedback, questions to the news helper, or emails, are used only to respond and improve the site, and are processed by our service providers for that purpose.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage for preferences and your sign-in session. We do not use advertising cookies at this time.
Third-party content
When you open a headline you go to the outlet's own site, which has its own privacy policy. Embedded posts from X (Twitter) and the optional Google Translate tool load content from those companies, which may set their own cookies under their policies.
Advertising
Faithful Herald does not currently show ads. If we add advertising, such as Google AdSense, we will update this policy before ads appear, including how third-party vendors like Google use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits and how you can opt out through Google's Ads Settings.
Android app
The app saves the latest headlines and verse on your device for offline reading. The daily verse notification is off unless you turn it on. The app has no ads or tracking.
Children
Faithful Herald is a general-audience news site and is not directed to children under 13.
