Advent Week 3: Joy (Dec. 13, 2026)

Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

The third week brings the rose-colored candle and a turn toward rejoicing. The joy the angel announced was "to all people" — not reserved for the comfortable or the successful.
Paul wrote "Rejoice in the Lord alway" (Philippians 4:4) from a prison cell. Christian joy is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of the Saviour.
Prayer
Lord, fill us with the joy of Your salvation and let it overflow to those around us. Amen.
