For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The final candle points to the reason for everything else: God gave. Christmas is love that came down, took on flesh and was laid in a manger.
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son" (1 John 4:10). This week, look for one person who needs to see that love in action.

Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son. Help us love others as You have loved us. Amen.
